An experiment in climate giving

The Climatics was started as a way to make climate philanthropy accessible and (dare we say it!) fun. Less than 2% of philanthropic funding goes to climate. That's not because people don't care, it's because climate giving feels hard, overwhelming, or like you need rockstar money to participate. 

For one year we ran an experiment to get funding moving to some of Aotearoa’s incredible climate organisations, and in September 2026 The Climatics experiment concluded with inspiring results.

We will continue to report on the work of the seven organisations this community funded for the duration of their grants as well as share learnings from this experiment.
