WHY THE CLIMATICS?

We're on a mission to leave a healthier planet for the next generation. And we're building a band to make it happen.

Why ‘Climatics’? Because we want to get people moving on climate action. The name sounds like a band, and that's exactly the vibe we're going for. We want climate action to feel more like a party and less like homework.

Less than 2% of philanthropic funding goes to climate work. That's not because people don't care, it's because climate giving feels hard, overwhelming, or like you need rockstar money to participate.

We're here to change that.

The Climatics makes climate philanthropy accessible, collective, and (dare we say it!) fun. We pool tax-deductible donations from everyday New Zealanders and direct 100% of funds raised to expert-vetted organisations doing systems-change work in Aotearoa. We want to create a community of collective-giving legends who feel more like they’ve joined a band than just ticked a box. That’s our jam.

We keep the backstage costs covered by strategic partners, so 100% of your tax-deductible donation goes straight to the work. (Minus any pesky credit card fees - we can't escape those.)

OUR GOAL

$100,000 by 11 December

We aim to raise $100,000 by the end of 2025 for three strategically selected organisations. This pilot will pave the way for a larger public launch in early 2026. From there, we’ll fund two rounds of grants each year.
